Hi! I am an academic in the Physics department at the University of Newcastle. I perform research in near-Earth space physics, using ground instrumentation, satellites, and theory. I also teach a range of subjects, from first year through to fourth year, and supervise postgraduate students. For more information about my work, see my curriculum vitae.

The world abounds with deceit, half-truths and dogmas. As a physicist I try to cut through the hype to get to the truth. People like to believe in all sorts of weird things, but the real world is often even more incredible and wonderful than they imagine. Science makes this world available to us.
